Unfolding the mysteries of the past...Students in groups tuned into the current unit of inquiry under the theme- "WHERE WE ARE IN PLACE AND TIME", through a dig activity. They stepped into the shoes of an archaeologist and excavated, discovered and explored various artifacts.
As a follow up, students made a "Concept Wheel" where in they analyzed the artifact using the PYP concepts, for example- FORM( what is it like) , FUNCTION ( what is it used for), CONNECTION ( what does it remind you of, how is it connected to other things) etc, thus enhancing their thinking skills and confidently presented their findings through verbal and non verbal forms of communication.
