Central idea
Learning about previous generations helps us understand the relationship between the past and the present.
Learning beyond classroom walls:
Students inquired into the theme " Where we are in place and time" by going for a field trip to Nehru Science Center. They carefully observed the different aspects of the past and wondered about their impact in todays times. Students thus gained a deeper understanding of the relationships between individuals and civilizations from Local to Global perspectives.
Students use the 'Human Web' strategy to delve into the next stage of learning, showing the connection between different process, materials, people involved and change the product goes through

Central idea Many products go through a process of change before they are consumed or used
Students of grade 1 experienced a fun filled day, where they applied their learning of how to lead a balanced lifestyle by following a healthy routine comprising of - HEALTHY FOOD, EXERCISE, SLEEP, PLAY, YOGA AND MEDITATION. Thus gaining an enduring understanding of the need and importance of leading a healthy lifestyle.

Students of grade 1 used their Creativity to artistically decorate an image of lord Ganesha, using a variety of Pulses.
Students of grades 1 and 2 enhance their fine motor and gross motor skills as they delve into moulding sweets (MODAK) to celebrate the festival of Ganesh Chaturthi.
Students are provoked through a visual cue on Organic farming and after having an interactive talk with a nutritionist, they understand the importance of right nutrition and health hazards faced globally. They then share their views and reflect on this using the "concentric circles" to realize the importance of good health
