Skit Competition UDAAN

Our school team (comprising students from Grades 8 and 9) secured the 1st Prize in the Skit Competition at UDAAN (An Interact Club Conference) organised by the Rotary Club of Juhu. Overall there were teams from over 18 schools that took part in this event, Kudos to our 8th and 9th graders!!!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

DYPIS - Shankar Mahadevan Music Academy ties up

DYPIS has tied up with Shankar Mahadevan Music Academy for teaching music to grades 4 and 5 from this academic year. The official launch of this association was held at Mayfair Banquets on Tuesday, 2nd August 2011. The same was covered by The Mid Day newspaper.

All India CNBC AWAAZ


Kudos to our students Paridhi Ajmera , Aarzo Salla , Karnav Shah and Ashish Zaveri who have made us proud with their outstanding performance at the CNBC Awaaz " Responsibilty Aur Rupaiya ," the initiative launched by the media as the first of its kind, to enable our children to become more responsible towards financial decision making. Such training seeks to transform these students into the next generation of prudent and responsible citizens, and even more responsible borrowers. .Beating all the odds , braving four rounds of competition, they defeated many prestigious schools nationwide ,to emerge as the proud winners of the All India CNBC AWAAZ competition, “Responsibility and Rupaiya.”

The channel will air the competition and the final prize distribution on the 31st March 2011 , Thrusday - 5pm to 6pm .

TAISI 2010 Event

TAISI - The Association of International Schools in India conducted an Interschool Athletic Meet at Vishwashanti Gurukul, Pune from 18th to 20th, November 2010. Twenty international schools from all over the country participated in this meet. Karen Mistry of D Y Patil International School secured first place in 100m run, 200m run, 400m run and secured third place in Shot Put. She also received the Best Player Award in her category.

 

8 DYPIS students represents India at 62nd World School Games

Eight students from DYPIS have been selected for the School Sports Federation of India (SSFI) Team that will represent our country at the 62nd World School Games (FISEC) 2010 in Paris, France.
This tournament is organised by France School Sport Federation

9th Grader Karen Mistry is now the fastest girl under 14 category

 

Karen Mistry of Grade 9 has secured a first place in 100 mtrs run in girls under 14 category in  the recently concluded Bombay City District Annual Athletic Championship 2009-10. She was awarded the trophy for being the fastest girl under 14 category.

100m Gold for 9th Grader Karen Mistry

Karen Mistry of Grade 9th won 1st Prize in 100m run (in girls under 14yrs) at the YMCA Open State Level Athletic Competition which was held at Mumbai University Ground on November 27th-29th,2009.

 

The Pirate's Ship @ DYPIS

DYPIS hosted the Pirate's Ship (an adaptation of the book called The Pirate's Ship) on Wednesday, 2nd December 2009. This play was presented by the Australian Group - Urban Myth. The Afternoon Newspaper covered this with an article on the 2nd page of their main edition dated 3rd December 2009.

Esha Jain of Grade 2 has got laurels for the school by her active participation in the 5 th World tournament of GO JU KAI KARATE held at Johannesburg in South Africa.

DYPIS Girls make it to Maharashtra State Sub Junior Football team

Ayushi Jain and Natasha Rajpal of Grade 8 have been selected to represent the Maharashtra State Sub Junior Football team at the 6th Sub Junior Girls National Football Championship to be held at Haldwani,Uttarakhand from 27th September'09 to 14th October'09.

Karen Mistry of Grade 9th won 2nd prize in 100m run representing Maharashtra in the Western Zone Junior Athletic Championship held at Jabalpur from 6-8th Aug 2009.She has been selected for the All India Inter Zone Tournament to be held at Chandigarh from 1-3rd Sept 2009.

 

KARATE-DO GOJUKAL WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP 2009

Esha Jain has been selected for the forthcoming 5th KARATE-DO GOJUKAL WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP 2009 to be held in Cape Town,South Africa,from 19th-27th October 2009.
