The DYPIS Economics and Business Leadership
Forum is a student led initiative to invite leading
businessmen, CEO’s, CFO’s, Bankers, Economists to share
their views with senior school students (Grades 9 & 11) on
aspects such as – impact of government policies on business,
challenges facing the corporate world, economic progress
with social development, future plans for growth/
diversification etc.
This forum provides an ideal platform for students to understand the corporate and economic environment more effectively and also see the real world applications of the theories they learn in the classroom.

The foundation board of the forum consists of the following student members:
Yash Pethani -
With a strong interest in Business & Management, Yash is one of the key members of the forum. He is presently pursuing the IB Diploma majoring in Business Management and Economics. Hence, the forum has been a natural extension for him.
Aayushman Nuwal -
Aayushman has been an ideal example of an all round student donning various hats. In the IB Diploma Programme, Aayushman is doing Economics and Business & Management at Higher Level and he plans to pursue an undergraduate degree in Business post the IB. Thus, the forum becomes an ideal platform for him to work with professionals and interact with them on various facets of business environment.
Rhea Shah -
Rhea is also one of the members of the forum. Her passion has been business and that was one of the reasons she has chosen to be a part of this forum
Samir Fernandes -
Samir has a strong inclination towards Business and this forum gives him an opportunity to see the challenges corporate India is presently facing and the strategies they adopt to cope with the same.
Staff In-charge
Mr. H. Burhani – Mr. Burhani is the Academic Director of the Middle and Senior School Programme at DYPIS. Having done his masters in Business Administration from IIM Calcutta, an entrepreneurial course from Jonkoping University, Sweden coupled with a teacher training qualification has ignited his passion to bridge the gap between theory and practice. His main aim of having this forum is for students to understand how leaders think, confront problems and understand different perspectives before making their decision and thus bring real life experiences into the DYPIS classroom.
